Is H1b Visa Transfer/Extension/(L1 to H1) process different?

Please note that H1B Visa transfer/extension and L1 to H1 transfer/conversion involves the same process as filing for a new H1B Visa. The only difference is that most H1B Visa transfer ( except L1 to H1 Transfer) are not counted against the H1B Cap.

HOW CAN WE HELP?

Provide an estimate of costs involved (i.e. filing fees, attorney fees & other costs) for H1b Visa.
Provide a checklist of documents required for applying for the Visa.
File and obtain certification / approval of the Labor Condition Application for H1b Visa.

SOME FEATURES OF H1B Visa :

There is an annual numerical limit of H1B approvals (called the "H1B Cap"). Therefore, it is essential that H1B Visa Petitions be filed timely (i.e. before the H1B cap is exhausted);
Initial petitions maybe approved for up to three years subject to the validity of the LCA.
Extensions maybe granted for up to three years at a time subject to LCA validity;

Procedure :

There are three steps in the H1B Visa process : :

File the Labor Condition Application (LCA) with the Department of Labor (DOL) and receive the DOL certification; and
File I-129 petition with H supplements, filing fee, supporting documents and the DOL certification with the USCIS service center having jurisdiction over the work location of the alien
